About this service
Child Care Services scholarships help eligible families pay for care at licensed or registered providers while parents work, attend school, or complete training. Parents choose the provider that fits their family.
Who may qualify
- Live in the nine-county Middle Rio Grande region.
- Work, attend school, or train at least 25 hours/week (single parent) or 50 hours combined (two parents).
- Meet family income guidelines based on household size.
- Children must be under 13 (or under 19 with a disability).
How to get started
- 1Check your eligibility with our two-minute screening tool.
- 2Submit an application online, in person, or by mail.
- 3Provide documents: ID, proof of income, work/school schedule, and children's birth certificates.
- 4Choose a provider and start care once approved.
